Mindfulness Meditation and Yin Yoga Workshop Series with Becca Medvin

In this workshop series we’ll use the practice and principles of yin yoga to facilitate and deepen our exploration of mindfulness meditation. Yin yoga features long, passive holds that unwind buried tension in the connective tissues. The receptivity and stillness that the practice cultivates helps us drop deeply into presence and embody an open hearted awareness. Creating the space within ourselves for softness, acceptance, and surrender allows us to let go of effort, moving from a state of doing into one of simply being. From this wider awareness, we can approach our meditation practice with less effort and more allowance, finding the space to rest in the truth of our wholeness and come home to ourselves. 

All levels welcome. 

Classes held the first Wednesday of each month, 7-9pm August-December 2019
 
Wednesday, August 7th: The Heart of Awareness: Self-acceptance, Self-compassion, and Self-love as the Foundations of Mindfulness 
Wednesday, September 4th: Spacious Awareness: Softening into the Breath

Wednesday, November 6th: Widening Awareness: Finding Freedom Beyond the Thinking Mind

Meet our tribe and experience a taste of our services from yoga (Shakti, restorative, yin) to reiki + crystal + sound healing, Kirtan sacred drumming, a shaman healing, chair massages, overviews of flower essences, Ayurveda, herbalism, and Lifestyle Medicine with Dr. Chris Scianna.
